Using your content
After booking your session, we’ll start with a personalized questionnaire to uncover your goals and vision. You’ll also receive a prep guide filled with tips for styling, location planning, and session preparation. To bring it all together, we’ll connect for a 1:1 Zoom call to chat through the details and even create a mood board tailored to your brand.
Your images and video content will be available via an online gallery within 3-5 weeks of your session date. Your content will be perfect to use to maintain consistency across all platforms, from your website, social media, advertising and so much more!

I photograph family, maternity, lifestyle newborn (in-studio & in-home), couples, and lifestyle branding sessions.
What is your cancelation/reschedule policy?
Q:
The retainer is non-refundable, but sessions can be rescheduled within the calendar year based on availability. Reschedules made within 48 hrs of the session date may be required to pay an additional reschedule fee (at the discretion of Angela K Photography).

What happens if it is raining?
Q:
Reschedules are decided the morning of the session as our weather is so unpredictable. Reschedules are made for rain or any other extreme weather. We do not reschedule for cloud cover and I cannot guarantee a sunset unfortunately.

How many people can be part of the session?
Q:
Up to 6 people are included in the session fee. After that, it is an extra fee per person. I do not do extended family sessions at this time.

How would you describe your style?
Q:
I would describe my photography style as classic, soft, artful and intimate. I love to focus on movement, connection, and genuine moments. I believe that all of the little moments and details are essential to telling your family's unique story.

How far in advance do you book out?
Q:
It depends on the time of year. Summer and fall can book out months in advance (especially weekend dates), but winter is a bit slower. I generally suggest booking 2-4 months in advance to be sure to get the date you are hoping for.

How do we book a newborn session when we don't know when baby will come?
Q:
Newborn sessions are booked based on your due date. This holds your spot and then we set a date that works for us both once your little one arrives. Newborn sessions are weekdays, mid day. I suggest booking your newborn session between 16-28 weeks to ensure availability.

When is the best time to do a newborn session?
Q:
For those sleepy images, newborn sessions are ideally done between 1-3 weeks of age. Because my style is lifestyle based and focused on connection, this time frame is flexible!

When is the best time to do a maternity session?
Q:
Maternity sessions are ideally done between 28-34 weeks. This is to be sure that your bump is showing but you are still comfortable. Each person is different and some prefer to do sessions earlier when it is a pregnancy with multiples or it is not their first. Mamas of multiples often do their sessions about 4-6 weeks earlier.

Do you help with planning outfits and/or location?

I work closely with my clients to plan their session! I am available to help with outfit styling, hair and makeup artist suggestions, location options etc. Each package includes a phone or zoom consult so that we can personalize your session.

How do you choose locations?
Q:
I choose locations based on a clients needs/wants but I also ensure that the location has good lighting that time of day, isn't too busy, and has a lot of room for us to move around.

My outdoor session start times are 1-2 hours before sunset based on location and weather. Sunrise sessions may also be an option for those super early risers! For studio sessions, these are during daylight hours.

I service the Lower Mainland and Vancouver areas. I also cover many areas of the Fraser Valley. For areas outside of this, a travel fee would apply. I am always open to travel for a session, so send me a message! Travel fees are waived if I am already in your area so you can also inquire about my travel schedule! I often travel to Vancouver Island.
