Drumheller, Alberta Adventure Family Session

I first met Lisa and her family at a photography workshop in Canmore, Alberta. When I mentioned I would be in Drumheller, Lisa and I connected to plan their family photography session. The week leading up to the session, we were watching the forecast closely as they were calling for rain. When we saw that there would be a break in the weather, we decided to go for it! As I drove up to Horseshoe canyon, a huge black cloud was moving in quickly. We decided to check out another area of the badlands, and ended up at Midland Provincial Park. We lasted about 10 minutes before the rain started and we decided to try one more spot.

When we arrived at the Hoodoos, it was like we were in a completely different province! The sun was shining and we had the entire place to ourselves! (a little storm helps with crowd control haha). Being a photographer herself, Lisa and her family were so easy going and explored the park together with no expectations. The kids played in the mud and ran around the park, snuggled, and danced. We had no expectations, and captured beautiful, authentic connection and genuine moments. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during this family photography session in Drumheller!

If I am already in your area, travel fees are waived! I often travel through Alberta and BC, and I am on Vancouver Island at least a few times a year.
