Stunning Maternity Session- Pitt Lake, BC

One of my absolute favorite locations to shoot is up at Pitt Lake. This stunning location is well known to photographers and locals alike. On a warm summer evening, it can be bustling with photographers, nature lovers, and families out for an evening walk. Nothing compares to the beautiful backdrop of Pitt Lake, nestled between the mountains. On a beautiful sunny day, the sun lights up the mountain tops as it dips below them before sunset. It is a perfect location for any photography session, and it didn’t disappoint for this maternity session at golden hour.

Jen and Colin first contacted me inquiring about booking a Motherhood package, but were reluctant to book due to the Covid restrictions. We were so lucky to be able to do both a maternity and newborn session under the new guidelines! We ended up choosing Pitt Lake as the perfect backdrop for their maternity session and were blessed with a stunning sunset. These two were so over the moon to be parents. Although a location may seem ideal, there are many things to take into consideration such as where the sun sets, how busy it is during our ideal session time, accessibility, and so much more.
